7. St. John of the Cross (with St. Teresa of Avila running so close that it would be a photo finish--but to include both my grandmother and my wife I had to choose.)

Great to discover your blog (via your comment about Diogenes). Should have found it 24 hours ago ! (I had to help my teenage son with a speech he was giving at his (Carmelite-run) school about Titus Brandsma.)

Oops I feel disloyal to St. Therese of Lisieux. She's one who should be on my list too.

It must be wonderful to be on someones 'admire list'.

I especially like how husband's and wives have listed their spouse in almost all instances that I have seen so far, somewhere above no.7!
