We're Through It

And we still have power, internet access, water, and all other commodities. The predicted 20 inches did not arrive (praise God). We still have some of the far side rain bands to endure. So far the roof has stood up to the storm (and we have a contractor on line already to come out and fix it). No water flooded into the house (as I had been led to fear, even though we are well out of the 100 year flood plain. Nevertheless, you can never tell about these things. ) Everyone is getting cabin fever, I sure hope tomorrow is better so i can get out of here!

Hope you all had a better Labor Day weekend.

Praise God!

We seem to have made it through unscathed as well. We saw quite a bit of wind but not as much rain as I expected. That's not to say that we haven't had rain, we've had a steady rainfall but nothing torrential.

I'm glad everyone there is safe & sound. SOunds like it was quite a storm though...

Praise God!

Congratulations! "There are few things so exhilarating as to be shot at without effect."

Steven

I'm so glad you and your family made it through the storm safely. We've been praying for you.

Arrggghhhh. I just woke up to find a stack of towels by a faux window--it used to be a door but was never finished properly. It looks like most of the floor is dry but right now it's raining pretty hard. I'm going to check the garage now.

I spoke too soon last night.

There's a large amount of water underneath the carpets in the living room. If anyone is reading this, please pray for an end to the steady rain.

Thanks Steven for letting me take over your blog the past few days.

Oh, I'm so glad to read ya'll are OK.

And Amanda, I'm praying for you, too!
