Well, that's Northern Florida, and I don't know how far the Cuban influence extends; however, the warmth does creep up that far. It generally stays above freezing, and if it does drop below it's during the night and the next day is up to 60 or so. So, yes, warmth you'll probably have if you are fortunate enough to obtain a position. If you wish to assure warmth, you might try Ave Maria University down in Naples.

Cuban food, though is pretty good, and I say that not simply because it is often followed by a good rum and a better cigar.

Well, unfortunately Ave Maria doesn't offer degrees in what I am qualified to teach... I thought I heard they were supposed to be starting an engineering program, but they don't have it yet.
And so the job search goes on. Amidst sub-freezing weather conditions.

There is looking out your office window each morning to see the tip of Pikes Peak at 14,000 ft. I see it every day and I never tire of the sight -- it forces me to look up which is always a good idea.
