Although you can't see him
you know by the itching
underneath your skin that
He is there. Patiently
or not so waiting for
you to come around. And
so long as you deny
it, He'll be there waiting.
And you will know no end
of itching until you
stop and call on Him to
let you in. And he will.

We called that itching 'prevenient grace' when I was a Methodist. I like it, and I like finding poetry about God's grace laying about on the Internet . .. like seeds.
