Prayers Offered for the Holy Father

Father in Heaven,

Thy will be done. Your faithful servant has served the faithful long and well. Thank you for the gift of him. If it be your will, let us keep him with us a while longer. Nevertheless Father, I'm certain that he is longing for home. Thy will be done to thy greater glory.

Amen

While I pray for the Pope and all of the Catholic Church I also have to wonder why he wasn't moved to the hospital to attempt to extend his life as the church urged only a few days ago for Terry Schiavo. Are the aides at the Vatican considered "murderers" for making every attempt to keep the Pope alive at this time?

Our FATHER in HEAVEN, holy be your NAME, your kingdom come, YOUR WILL BE DONE...

HEAVENLY FATHER, Thank you for giving us this Great POPE, I believe he served YOU and us well. If it is your will to welcome him NOW into your kingdom, then YOUR WILL BE DONE.
RAMON

Of course he's longing to "go home". You think he likes being on the brink of death?? And what's with this "let us keep him with us a little while longer"??? If he's in PAIN we should let him go. My grandfather was in the same situation just before he passed away. LET HIM GO.

BTW- that was me. Just in case you thought I was some sort of coward or something.

to this all a man of GOD should not be dying at the age of 84 for that fact i have been wondering why we as christains would accept something like this,God gave us the ability to live to 120 so some thing must be wrong here. We are not suppose to have sickness and illness but yet we are created in God's perfect will, so I i wil pray for this man for jugdement day will come and he will stand in front of God and tell him what he has done for God's will and purpose

WELL said Flo. AMEN.

OUR BEAUTIFUL POPE. OUR FATHER WHO ARE IN HEAVEN HALLOWED BE THY NAME THY KINGDOM COME THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN, GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD AND FORGIVE US OUR TRASPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRASPASS AGAINST US AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US EVIL. AMEN AMEN B G

From the University of Notre Dame's website:

Eternal Father in heaven, you know that many things go through the minds and hearts of a family when a beloved earthly father is facing such illness and pain. At this time, we at Notre Dame place all our emotions, expectations, uncertainties, hopes and fears on the altar, and we offer them up to you with the simple summation prayer, Thy will be done.

Amid the uncertainty, these things we know: You are a supremely good and gracious God who is not abandoning your remarkable servant, John Paul, nor are you abandoning the Church. As Our Lady was there alongside Jesus in His suffering, help us to draw compassion and wisdom as we walk with our Pope along his via dolorosa. Dear Mary, our patroness, help us to recognize and receive the redemptive power of such suffering, in the form of greater unity among all Catholics, all Christians, all people of the earth, bearing fruits of greater faith, hope, and love. Let these be the gifts that we give to John Paul and to the Lord by offering them to one another with renewed fervor. Amen.

Let the Lord take this gentle, peaceful, and hard working servant into his good graces. The world is a better place because of John Paul. Go in peace, father...your mission has been accomplished.

The Pope is a nice humnan being but he is just that, a human being. Something is severely wrong with our society when we assign deity status to a fellow human being. But you'll note that Cardinal McCarrick the other day asked everyone to pray for the Pope should his time come and ask that God take care of him. The man was Pope! Shouldn't it be assumed that God is taking care of him. If there is a shred of doubt, what hope is there for the rest of us?

Love and Peace, someday I hope to meet you in thy Grace of the Lord. God Bless and may the Lord make his face to shine on you. Amen

THERE IS A TIME TO SERVE AND I TIME TO STOP SERVING AND JUST GO HOME TO BE WITH JESUS I SALUTE POPE JOHN PAUL. GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT OF GOD. WHAT A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF A TRUE CHRISTIAN AND SHEPHERD. SOLDIER GOING HOME. WE SURE WILL MEET HIM WHEN WE GET THERE.

First let me say that I am not catholic. But that does not stop me from holding this man in the highest regard. I believe that God had a purpose for this man and still has. I believe that he is a vessel of our Lord and still has great things to do. I believe in miracles, I have witnessed them and I pray that the Pope gets one. I would like him to recover fully. I pray that he gets his strenght back and contines to fullfill his mission. The mission I speak of is Peace. Our world is in such a mess. I believe Pope John Paul can make a different. I have been compelled to pray for this man. I feel I must . I understand that he has a lot of things against his recovery. I understand he is old. But something urges me on. I believe God still has a job for him here on earth.

The lord Jesus was quoted as saying "Do as I do"
I say to you John Paul II you have been a pinnacle for millions as Jesus was for Billions and Billions, Gods speed my friend.
