I'm pleased to note that I live in a "blue area" of my state--not what you think!

I'm glad to live in a blue area also. Although, I grew up half an hour from where I now live - and it's intensely red. Also around my blue area are Lutherans and Methodists - not bad company.

Now this is interesting. The South gets hammered for being too religious, but as a percentage of all residents (the first map), religious adherents are much greater in certain areas outside the south. Massachusetts appears to have a higher proportion of religious adherents than North Carolina -- and compare North Dakota with Mississippi!
